The Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1 update contains a series of fixes for the Photoshop 7.0 graphics program.
This update contains numerous fixes. Scaling issues are addressed, the opening of Windows is sped up, and the program is made more compatible with QuarkXPress. Below, a list of all of the major changes:
This update is for the English language version only. Please remember when installing this update that you'll need to shut off your virus protection programs. Once that is done, double-click the Setup.exe file and follow the instructions. You may have to uninstall and reinstall 7.0 if the update can't find it.

Adobe Photoshop 7.0 includes a revamped paint engine. The brushes are now configurable, able to simulate artistic effects such as watercolor.

Auto Color is a new function enabling the user to balance an image more easily. This function only works in RGB mode, but generally performs better than Auto Contrast.
